I study English literature and read too much. Concise reviews of the ridiculous miscellany of my reading choices. Sometimes also things I watch and listen to. But mostly read.

Surveillance by Jonathan Raban
Yet another one I was forced to read for class. Profoundly average, exceptional only for its lack of originality and dullness. Raban takes 300+ pages, a cast of the most boring characters one can imagine, and a smattering of shoddy ideas about politics to say 'we're worried about terrorists while we should be worried about climate change.' That's it, that's the whole book. Please don't read it.
