On page 9 of my library's copy of this book, I found the note of a previous reader: 'This book is so shit, stop reading whilst you can' and also a later note that it was 'boring'. Unfortunately, I had been assigned this book for class, so I could not heed my anonymous benefactor's plea. However, I have to say that I disagree. Is it badly written? Yes. Are the characters terrible? Yes. Is it unoriginal? Yes. But is it boring? No. It was really interesting in the way a really trashy show is interesting. (Actually, I believe there are plans to make a trashy show out of this book). But generally, I very much agree with the first succinct review, it it shit and please don't read it.
