I study English literature and read too much. Concise reviews of the ridiculous miscellany of my reading choices. Sometimes also things I watch and listen to. But mostly read.

To the Lighthouse by Virginia Woolf
I reread this as therapy after all the dreadful novels I was forced to read for class (before starting on the next batch). It's just as deep, magical and stirring as ever. I get incredibly emotional about this novel, I honestly think this is probably the best thing that has ever been written. I think of this and The Waves as the absolute apex of Woolf's writing. So much has been said about this book already that I feel I can't really add anything to it, except endless rhapsodies. I'm pretty sure it encompasses the whole of existence, every facet of life, and every word is infinitely precious.
